Part of a May 8-16 online sale conducted by Skinner (23/20/12% buyer’s premium) in its Marlborough salerooms, near Boston, it is inscribed to a Mrs Roger Williams and was accompanied by a letter to that lady, thanking her for the hospitality she had shown to Marie Curie and her two daughters during her first visit to the US.
