A Japanese Meiji period shibayama inlaid lacquer shodana will feature in the Asian works of art section of Weschler’s Capital Collections auction on December 13 in Rockville, Maryland.

The four-part cabinet, with a mix of sliding and panel doors on a stand, measures 5ft 10in (1.77m) high x 4ft 6in (1.38m) wide.

It has some repairs and minor losses to the inlay and lacks some elements and the pediment.

The estimate is $2000-3000.
