Hottot specialised in Orientalist subjects and this 3ft 11in (1.2m) high signed cast of a young woman with a harp was typical of his oeuvre.
The auction house had given it an estimate of €8000-10,000 but it ended up selling for €32,000 (£27,120).
The sale took place on January 19 and the buyer’s premium was 25%.
