The motorcycles dating from the early years of the 20th century through to the 1960s have been carefully maintained and used to participate in various rallies and motorbike club meetings over the years.
The collection will be sold by Ivoire Chartres on September 14 in their city centre saleroom of the Galerie de Chartres, the gothic former Chapelle de Foy.
Classic models by some of the most famous marques in the motorbike world are on offer: Norton, BMW and Peugeot.
Estimates start as low as €100-200 for some of the bicycles but final prices could exceed the €10,000 mark for the rarest motorbike examples.
