Sold for £9600 was an original, signed cover artwork by Mike McMahon for a March 1981 issue of 2000AD featuring Judge Dredd, ‘King of the Streets’.

Two other best-selling lots were examples of comic artwork from the well-known Bob Monkhouse archive, many of which have previously featured in these specialist sales.

Sold at £5800 was a full-page strip artwork that Frank Bellamy produced for Episode 5 of the first ‘Fraser of Africa’ story he created for the Eagle comic, in 1960. A double-page Bellamy Eagle artwork from 1965, featuring ‘Heros the Spartan’, sold for £7300.
