Offered with an estimate of £3000-5000 at Ewbank’s on May 30, the lot includes the black Calvin Klein tie that Smith wears for his role as Agent J as well as his white Anto Beverly Hills long-sleeved shirt from the 2012 film. The label inside the trousers reads ‘Mr Smith’.
The sale precedes the release of Men in Black: International, the next film in the franchise, in June. The spinoff features a London-based team that pursues aliens around the globe.
Meanwhile, the Surrey auction house offers a huge variety of other film memorabilia at its Movie Props sale. Other highlights include a British Quad film poster for the original 1977 Star Wars movie estimate at £1500-2500, 12 tickets for the 1969 Woodstock festival expected to fetch £400-600 and a jacket worn by Elvis Costello pitched at £1000-1500.
A production-used hooded Gryffindor student robe from the Harry Potter films is expected to bring £800-1200. A song sheet used in the first Harry Potter film in 2001 is also on offer with an estimate of £150-200. It was consigned to the sale by a film transport driver.
