The auction of three bottles raised £3650 for charity which will be added to the sum being raised via a global prize draw organised by the brand. Fans can enter for a chance to win one of the remaining bottles.

The money is being raised for Sheeran’s nominated charity, East Anglia Children’s Hospices, and Heinz’s nominated charity: Rise Againts Hunger.

It is not the first time Heinz limited edition items have come to auction.

In March Heinz paid a hammer price of £750 at auction for a special issue 18ct gold baked bean at McTear’s.
