This Doulton Lambeth terracotta plaque by George Tinworth will be included in the ceramics section of Skinner’s February 14 sale of European furniture and decorative arts in Boston.

The plaque measures 9¾ x 16¼in (25 x 41cm) and is set in an oak frame. It features a scene from Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew, as titled along the top, and is also incised with a quotation from the play along the base.

It is signed, monogrammed and dated 1873 and has an estimate of $4000-6000.
